Project Overview
Precision machined components for 6-axis robotic arm joints. These parts serve as the main load-bearing elements and require high fatigue strength and precise fitment.
Challenge
The part required complex 3D surfacing and tight tolerances on the bearing bores (H7 fit). Any misalignment in the bores would cause the robot arm to bind or lose accuracy.
Our Solution
We used high-efficiency dynamic milling to remove bulk material quickly, followed by precision boring for the bearing seats. We verified the position and perpendicularity of all mounting holes using a CMM before removing the part from the fixture.
Results
•Ensured smooth, backlash-free operation
•Service life exceeding 5 years
•Perfect fit for bearings and motors
•High repeatability in production
